I've had my 12" Lodge Skillet for well over
3 years now and it's become a staple on the
stovetop (it never gets put away). The care
instructions are pretty easy to maintain--don't
use soap and be sure to wipe down the pan so no
water dries in it. Keep it oiled (seasoned) and
it just solidly performs forever.
As others have mentioned, b/c it's cast iron,
it's obviously going to take a little time to
heat up---& once it's heated, that sucker
will stay hot for a very long time.

I had a much more expensive electric knife
sharpener years ago. It worked really well, and
I didn't expect this one to match it. But I
think this one is actually better! The angle of
the slots really seems to help the knives to
contact the grinding stones at just the right
angle. Very happy with this appliance.

Deeper than a hibachi, sturdy, door to remove
coal dust, heavy, but not so heavy that it can't
be moved. Any Baby Boomer will enjoy just
because it's more fun than a regular grill. It
would be nice if it had a lid though. I'm
waiting for it to come out, and i'll buy that.

I'm so happy with my Corelle Livingware 16-Piece
set Service for 4, Winter Frost White. I bought
4 boxes to make a set of 16. I read that some
people got their glasses broken. All mine (16)
where fine. Not one got broken. I really didn't
need them, I just wanted the dishes. I also
bought 4 boxes of the pasta bowls that came with
one large bowl each. They're so easy to wash
off, they stack so neat and they're so strong.

Although it may take a little practice to use,
this is a great can opener that does prevent
sharp edges on cans. We got our first one 5
years ago and did just have to replace it, but
we were so happy with our first we just replaced
it with a new one.
